Whether you are a parent, student, school staff member or community member, the Bates PTO is yours. We all work together "to enhance the education of our children by promoting the connection between home, school and the community." The Bates School Parent Teacher Organization holds monthly meetings from September through June, where one can discuss and learn about programs related to the school.
Through fundraising, the PTO sponsors many activities, including field trips related to the curriculum; two ice cream socials; an annual roller skating night; Fifth-Grade Week; Artist-in-Residence; a "Book Swap" every other week; and many cultural programs and activities throughout the year.
All parents of Bates School students are automatically members of the PTO and it is nice to see new faces at the monthly meetings. Please feel free to attend and get an idea of what your PTO does for our children!
You are invited to participate, as much or as little as you are able, in the variety of activities and special events that are held throughout the school year. So, join in the fun, and watch the amazing things we can do when we work together!
